The climate change promoters and mainstream media keep screaming out warnings “The oceans are rising and we are all going to die”. Truth is the oceans have been rising for a very long time and it has nothing to do with climate change caused by humans.
David Legates, professor of geography at the University of Delaware: “water has been rising for approximately 20,000 years, and probably will continue.”
This chart below shows the rising of the oceans as the ice age ended, and shows a long term trend that actually has slowed over the past 6,000 years.
This data below shows that sea levels rose steadily, but only slightly, over the last 150 years, at a very constant rate since 1880. Where is this big change due to human caused climate change? Doesn’t exist!
Yet this has hardly been a crisis for humanity; living standards skyrocketed during the same period.
Coastline Erosion
Some blame natural coastline erosion on rising seas also, but that is nonsense. Coastlines especially sandy and loose soil ones erode easily, unlike hard rock coastlines. The Carolina coast is just one area having land erosion problems.
The media tries to blame it on rising oceans. By the way oceans can not rise in only one area. LOL.
Another cause of coastline change is – “coastal land subsidence and sinking“
Sinking cities: Satellite measurements of ground height in and around coastal cities, obtained from 2015 to 2020, reveal how fast many are sinking. about one-third, or 34, of the analyzed cities are sinking in some places by more than a centimeter per year. In parts of some cities, such as Chittagong Bangladesh, Tianjin China, Manila Philippines and Jakarta Indonesia, the ground is subsiding by more than 50 millimeters per year.
