So What’s Behind the Government Banning Tik Tok? (updated)

As with most bills nowadays, the promoted purpose for the bill is usually simply a smokescreen for the real intention. Bills are commonly thousands of pages, meaning they do not even get read by the people that pass them or by the people they effect.

So they talk about the purpose of the bill and then hide hundreds of other legislation and financial commitments in there. Seems shady does it… well it is.

If we are so worried about China infiltrating the USA then why is China one of the biggest farmland owners in the USA? Now that sounds like an actual threat compared to an app where people post dance video and funny cat memes.

China owns roughly 384,000 acres of U.S. agricultural land, according to a 2021 report from the Department of Agriculture. Of that, 195,000 acres, worth almost $2 billion when purchased, are owned by 85 Chinese investors, which could be individuals, companies or the government.

The other 189,000 acres were worth $235 million when purchased and are owned by 62 U.S. corporations with Chinese shareholders. Chinese agricultural land ownership only increased about 550 acres from 2015 to 2019. Then ownership jumped 30% from 2019 to 2020, from some 247,000 acres to roughly 352,000. U.S. companies with Chinese shareholders more than doubled their acreage that year, accounting for 102,000 acres of the growth. China acquired another 32,000 U.S. agricultural acres in 2021—not as much as they scooped up in 2020, but 98% higher than their combined growth between 2015 and 2019.

EVEN stranger the Chinese are buying land around US Military Bases. WHAT???

The Tik Tok ban has ZERO to do with Tik Tok and everything to do with new powers they just granted themselves to infringe on your civil rights and privacy. Further, now that it is proven the government has worked with and continues to work with Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (in the past), to illegally breach privacy laws and invade the rights of its own citizens, it is clear they don’t like Tik Tok because they can not make them do what they want. So they ban Tik Tok to empower Facebook and Instagram so they can control them and use them like another branch of govt, the perfect tool they want.
